RIP @FLOWERGIRLLOSANGELES

Well, I cannot say it was an easy decision to change form the beloved @flowergirllosanges into something more adult and broad (@kelseyharperdesign) , but I felt it was finally time to shed the last thing connecting me to the name of my old brand (don't worry it hasn't gone far- it's now my personal page). As I grow personally and professionally, I wanted a name that really reflected who I wanted to be and what I wanted to do, which is to design many things, not just flowers. With the recent rebrand in late 2017 of my floral company changing from Flower Girl Los Angeles to Matriarch, I knew I wanted to do more, to not feel limited by a name that was so specific.

I aim to inspire you, teach you some things I've learned along my path,  and share more about my life as a mother, wife and entrepreneur .. the good and the bad. I read this quote from Even Cowgirls Get The Blues by Tom Robbins last night while cozied up at my favorite Italian restaurant and it kept me up reflecting on successes and failures, on things I wish I would have known and on the fact that success isn't the end of the road, happiness it. If we're not doing something that inspires us every day, successful or not, then we need to make a change which is exactly what I'm doing.

"Plans are one thing and fate another. When they coincide, success results. Yet success mustn't be considered the absolute. It is questionable, for that matter, whether success is an adequate resposne to life. Success can eliminate as many options as failure."
